The "UGOL ROSSII & MINING" trade fair has marked the beginning of new projects
"Thanks to this exhibition, we are once again convinced that we are moving in the right direction. Mechanical engineers and business directors want to increase the running capacity of their parts and the productivity of their crushers by changing the alloys used and part shapes. In this sense, we have something to offer, and so we were happy to talk about reverse engineering and the manufacture of linings for individual projects,” said Shayer.
The exhibition showed that pump parts, conveyor belts, wear parts for crushers, filtration elements, wear-resistant plates and conveyor belts are in great demand.
For example, after negotiations at the exhibition, one of the MPPs of the Trans-Baikal Territory invited a number of Element’s specialists to its site to provide a quote for the implementation of several different products. The trip is expected to be busy; Element’s engineers should develop a proposal for conveyor belts with corrugated sidewalls, design a lining for the mill feed chute and discuss the supply of wear-resistant plates for the bunkers.
"To line the feed chute at the mill of that MPP, Element will produce upper and middle segments with four different surfacing options. The goal is to quickly test and select the optimal composition of the deposited layer to increase the life expectancy of the linings to 6 months, " said Olga Stepuk, the manager of the wear-resistant materials division at Element.
In addition to specific agreements, participants received valuable information about the needs of the market. Stepuk noted that on the line of wear-resistant plates, there were some very popular runners: high-molecular polyethylene and bimetal. In addition, according to her, the demand for new metal structures for bunkers and chutes assembled with lining materials is growing.
Alexander Zavadsky, the manager of conveyor components, added that he was encouraged by the high level of demand for Element’s brand-new products. "We were glad to hear that the cleaners and scrapers that we are now introducing into our product line are popular with mining companies and those within the aggregates industry,” noted Zavadsky.
Negotiations with representatives of mining and metallurgical enterprises of the Kemerovo region and Russia as a whole marked the beginning of a new project era. Now, Element’s managers are preparing commercial proposals which will soon reach the production sites of customers. These same managers will evaluate and analyze the equipment on-site to produce spare and wear parts that are ideally suited to specific machines and operating conditions.
